Wow! Europe with Velvet Vacations: Our Honeymoon Was Absolutely Bumper!
(A Story by a Very Happy Customer, Straight From the Heart)
Hello, everyone! You have to hear this! My wife and I just finished our 17-day “Best of Europe” tour, and I am telling you, I have not stopped talking about it since we got home. Before we left, I was honestly so stressed about visas, hotels, and all the complicated stuff. But then Velvet Vacations stepped in and told us, “Sir, just pack your bags and enjoy.” And they delivered an unforgettable experience. The value for what we paid was simply fantastic.
It was just me and my wife—our perfect team of two—and every single destination felt like such a blessing. Now, are you ready? Because I am about to tell you the highlights!
Part 1: Amsterdam’s Cool Vibe and The Tower’s Magic
You know, when we landed in Amsterdam (Day 2), I was tired, but the city instantly calmed me down. It’s so clean and beautiful. We started right away with the Canal Cruise around 10:30 AM. To see those classic leaning houses from the water—WOW! It gives you such a cool, soothing feeling right in your heart. It was like stepping into an old European painting.
Then, in the afternoon around 3:00 PM, we reached Zaanse Schans Village. This place is a must-visit for a real cultural experience! We saw the wooden clog demonstration (very interesting!) and, even better, visited the cheese factory! My wife went completely crazy and bought three giant blocks of Gouda. I kept joking, “Darling, are you planning a cheese party back home?” It was pure, silly fun for us.
Moving to Paris (Day 5), the city of romance! Velvet Vacations saved the best part for our evening. After our city tour and river cruise, we reached the Eiffel Tower around 6:30 PM, just as the sun was setting—perfect timing! We finally reached the Top Level around 8:45 PM. It was dark, the city lights were on, and I felt like a hero standing there with my wife! And then, exactly at 9:00 PM—the whole tower started to sparkle! That glittering light show was so mesmerizing, so romantic. It was such a beautiful, grand moment for the two of us. I truly loved it!
Part 2: Switzerland: Only Fresh Air and Movie Poses
After all that city excitement, Switzerland (Day 8) gave us a peaceful, much-needed break. Everything is so incredibly clean, you could practically see your reflection everywhere! Our morning tour of the capital, Bern, was around 11:00 AM. The Zytglogge clock tower and the old town felt like we were walking right through a movie set.
But the absolute best was in the afternoon, around 5:00 PM, when we reached the famous Saanen bridge ( DDLJ Shooting Point). The scenic views were incredible—all green slopes and mountains. My wife, being a total movie buff, found a flower and insisted on a full dramatic photo shoot, perfectly posed like a true romantic heroine. I had to laugh and click the pictures! That spot is a perfect addition to the honeymoon album, trust me.
Then came the main event: Jungfraujoch (Day 10)! The journey up in the scenic train is an adventure itself. We reached the ‘Top of Europe’ observation area around 12:30 PM. The Sphinx Observation Deck gives you a massive 360-degree view of the Aletsch Glacier and those huge peaks. The snow and the blue sky were just dazzling! The scale of the mountains makes you feel so tiny, but so alive. I admit I have a slight fear of heights, but my wife was holding my arm tight, saying, “Look at the beauty!” We then enjoyed exploring the Ice Palace.
Part 3: Rome: History and Wishing on Water
Before Rome, we saw Venice and the art in Florence (we caught the beautiful sunset over the Ponte Vecchio around 7:30 PM). Then came Rome (Day 13-14)… the history is just unbelievable! Our city tour took us to the Colosseum around 10:00 AM. To stand next to something so old and monumental gives you goosebumps.
Later, around 5:00 PM, we visited the Trevi Fountain. That fountain is huge, and the setting sun made the water look magical. It’s a wonderful tradition—we both stood there and did the coin-tossing ritual. We made our wishes for a happy future, feeling very positive about the journey and our new life together.
The Velvet Difference: No Stress Allowed!
Our 17-day European trip was fantastic. From the early morning travel on the Rhône river in Geneva at 7:00 AM to the efficient cable car ascent for Mt. Titlis, every arrangement by Velvet Vacations was flawless.
They handled all the complicated things—booking, hotels, transport, entry timings—so we could just focus on romance and enjoying our time. If you are looking for a completely stress-free, well-planned international holiday, especially if you are newly married like me, look no further. Velvet Vacations gives you memories that truly last a lifetime!
Thank you, Velvet Vacations, for a truly memorable European experience!
